L' EMO GVM Centro Cuore Columbus Brief Overview


Main activities of EMO GVM Centro Cuore Columbus are:
Diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases: invasive and non-invasive diagnosis of atherosclerosis affecting the vascular system. In addition to coronary arteries all other vessels such as: carotids, subclavian, renal, aorta and femoral arteries are addressed.

Diseases treated
  • Treatment for:
    • coronary artery disease
    • peripheral vascular disease (upper and lower limbs)
    • epiaortic vessel disease (carotid, subclavian vertebral arterial disease) with cerebral protection systems
    • renal artery disease
    • aneurysmal disease of aorta and of other vessels (endoprothesis)
  • Correction of congenital adult cardiac defects: patent foramen ovale, Botallo’s duct, inter-atrial septal defects.
    These procedures are performed with intracardiac eco-guidance and without general anesthesia.

    • traditional angioplasty
    • angioplasty guided by pressure gradient (FFR) and/or intravascular ultrasound (IVUS)

  • Our Center is particularly devoted to the use of advanced techniques to re-open chronically occluded coronary or peripheral arteries.
