Send your CDs with the coronary angiogram or angioplasty to Dr. Antonio Colombo and his medical team. They will review them in a very short
time and give you an advice on how to proceed.
Send your CD (with a short letter with your data and telephon number and/or e-mail address) to the following mailing address:

Dr. Colombo and his medical team are available to perform diagnostic examinations or specific procedures.

Hospital Stay
Usually 2 days. Discharge occurs the day following the procedure.

A single room is assigned to the patient and a relative can spend the night with him/her since a divan bed is available in the room.

Documents for hospital admission
- Fiscal code (if available)
- Passport
- Certificate of Insurance (if patient is a policy holder)
- Medical documents from your doctor (cardiologist) stating your pathology and diagnosis
- VISA (to be issued by Italian Consulate in your Country)
Before coming to Italy
In order to receive confirmation of your procedure with Dr. Colombo it is necessary that you pay in advance the agreed amount
(plus the cost of one stent in case of PTCA).
As soon as we receive by fax or by e-mail confirmation of advance payment (bank receipt is required) we will send an official
Invitation Letter to the Italian Consulate in your Country.
Only at this point can you apply for a VISA.
For this reason we also need a copy of your passport and that of the people who will travel with you and need an entry VISA (please consider about two weeks to obtain).
Payment of extras or additional stents shall be settled at patient's discharge and a formal invoice will be issued (non credit cards accepted).
Before patient admission
In case you are due in hospital in the morning please do not eat or drink from midnight.
Continue your usual medical therapy unless our doctors at EMO GVM Centro Cuore suggest otherwise.
Three days prior to admittance start the following therapy: 1 tablet per day of ASA (minimum dose 100 mg) plus 1 tablet of clopidogrel twice a
day (after lunch and dinner).
If you are already on therapy with Tiklid (two tablets per day) or Plavix (one tablet per day) continue taking your therapy without changing it.
Imporant notice for patients
While booking your exam or at hospital admission, it is extremely important that you inform us about your health problems, if you are
on anticoagulant therapy (Coumadin, Sintrom or Warfarin), if you undergo dialysis or any other information that might help our doctors
to assist you.
In case you underwent a previous coronary angiogram in another Institution please bring the CD or VHS with you plus any other medical documentation
pertaining to your disease.
Please be aware that patient discharge, unless otherwise specified by doctors, will occur the day after the procedure and usually after 12:00 pm.
