Our Procedures

Treatment for:
  • coronary artery diseases
  • peripheral vascular diseases (upper and lower limbs);
  • epiaortic vessel disease (carotid, subclavian, vertebral arterial disease) with cerebral protection systems;
  • renal artery disease
  • aneurysmal disease of aorta and of other vessels (endoprothesis).
All procedures are performed with the state-of-the-art techniques:
  • stent implantation;
  • traditional angioplasty;
  • angioplasty guided by Doppler flow mapping, pressure gradient (FFR) and/or intravascular ultrasound;
  • rotational atherectomy (rotablator);
  • directional atherectomy;
  • other types of atherectomy;
  • thrombectomy devices;
Correction of congenital adul cardiac defects: parent foramen ovale, Botallo's duct, inter-atrial septal defects.
These procedures are performed with intracardiac eco-guidance and without general anesthesia.

New drug-eluting stents to prevent restenosis (recurrence of vessel narrowing) are currently in use.

We are evaluating, in clinical research protocols, different methods to stimulate growth of new blood vessels (angiogenesis) or new myocardial cells (stem cell therapy).

Our Center is particularly devoted to the use of advanced techniques to re-open chronically occluded coronary or peripheral arteries.

Expert Presentations

Extraordinary results have been demontrated by recent muticenter double blind randomized trials (RAVEL-SIRIUS-TAXUS-ENDEAVOR-SPIRIT) with two-arm design, which assessed the safety and effectiveness of these Stents.
